Talent, presence and voice. Or, better yet: a man and his piano.
Because this single instrument was all that the French artist Sébastien Tellier needed to make those of us lucky enough to attend the concert he offered on the evening of Friday 7 June at the Ángela Peralta Theatre in Mexico City to celebrate the new anniversary of WARP magazine, a publication directed by the renowned journalist and media personality Alejandro Franco.
The truth is that we have to ̶d̶e̶c̶i̶r̶l̶o̶ show it off... we were lucky twice.
Thanks to an invitation from Warp and Common Sense Records - producers of the event - the French artist met #LasMezcas!

Be careful: it was not only Tellier who was able to taste our mezcadas, but also a select group of participants in this celebration.
The recital was a gift to the followers of this musician and composer, whose influence on French (and universal) music is evident and continues from the French Touch to the present day: Sébastien Tellier has worked with (among others) the famous duo AIR , the iconic film director Sofia Coppola , the queen of burlesque Dita Von Teese , and their music can be heard all over the world.
For this occasion, he brought with him a selection of songs arranged, as we said, for piano.
Sometimes with a lot of French sensuality, sometimes with a lot of black humour, very French, the singer-songwriter did not leave out some of his greatest hits - which the audience appreciated effusively - such as "La Ritournelle", "La Dolce Vita" or "L'amour et la violence".
A great evening, a great experience.
Thanks to Warp and Common Sense, many more years to come!
